Cube Condos let the inner voyeur learn what not to do with power. smak developed mini condos with glass facades in Vancouver’s TD Square and hired actors to live in the units and display the ways in which we waste hydro.
The Condo Cubes also featured hydro meters displaying live energy usage and tips for efficiencies. Commuters and passersby were able to peer into the Condos to learn to live and work efficiently, and what not to do.
Along with massive experiential impressions, BC Hydro received more than 20 press hits valued at three times the cost of the entire experiential program. 91% of consumers surveyed said the execution would help change their energy consumption habits.
